A great site to learn more is Family Unschooler's Network ; Curriculum based - where you use a curriculum like Five In A Row; or a little of both. Also, the term De-schooling comes into play when you have taken your child out of public school. Sometimes children have such a bad experience in public schools, that they need to be de-schooled. Meaning basically that you have taken your child OUT of school... now you must take the school OUT of your child by giving him the freedom to learn in his own way.
